- There WILL be a $50 per team registration fee, at both Providence
College and Boston College.
- Final information for teams going to Providence College
is here.
- Final information for teams going to Boston College
is here.
- The site non-specific schedule and assignments of teams to locations
is here.
- BOSPRE 2002 is coming soon! Its Saturday, October 26.
- BOSPRE 2002 is a cooperative effort between Providence College and
Boston College, who host the teams, and Harvard, who provides judging and
problems using the net. Since Harvard provides the judging,
in order to avoid the appearance of conflict of interest,
Harvard will not attend BOSPRE 2002 (it will go to WNEC).
- Practice facilities are
available here.
- To see which teams registered for BOSPRE 2002 and other Northeastern
sites go

- The Northeastern Region of the ACM contest is run by
Westfield State College, which will be holding the regional
contest.
- You register for BOSPRE at the
ACM Programming Contest web site.
- When you register for BOSPRE 2002 you will NOT be assigned a
hosting site. This will be done by the BOSPRE 2002 managers much later.
Two issues are: (1) its possible we may end up with one or
more hosting sites not that near to Boston, and (2) we hope
to accommodate 2nd teams with both teams from a school at the
same hosting site.
- Although BOSPRE 2002 will have multiple hosting sites, there
will be only one scoreboard and all teams at all BOSPRE 2002
hosting sites will be competing against each other.
- The Harvard team will not be at BOSPRE 2002 in order to avoid
conflict of interest, but the teams of the schools hosting the
contest will attend as those schools will not be involved in
judging. Coaches from non-hosting schools are needed to help
at hosting schools during contest day.
- Each member of each team, BEFORE the team arrives at the contest, must
read the following:
Note it is very desirable to read
- No activities are planned for team coaches, but if any want
to plan something, e.g., lunch, they can email all the BOSPRE
team coaches at once at the mail drop
bospre-teams@deas.harvard.edu
- Here is info on Boston overnight accommodations,
and
Providence overnight accommodations.
IMPORTANT:
If you are going to stay overnight, let
bospre@deas.harvard.edu know promptly whether you are going
to Providence or Boston, so you will not end up being assigned
to an inoptimal host site.
- The BOSPRE teams that advance to regionals will earn a wall plaque
for their school.
E.g., see last year's plaques.
- Last year's BOSPRE 2001 web page is still hanging around:
