Cuneiform Numbers --------- ------- The Babylonians used a base 60 number system. To represent digits, they used symbols for 1 and 10 and put them together as in a word, with the symbol for 10 first. We will use `v' for 1 and `<' for 10. The Babylonians just used a space for 0; we will use `_'.
